Winder Up Coffee uses a unique yet simple approach when roasting coffee which provides a better result on coffee turn out, than other coffee roasters. The wood fired roasting dates back to the beginning of time for how coffee was roasted. Wood fired roasting has now become a rare and special art form of cooking because of the vast replacement by gas or electric. 


How is wood fired coffee special and why is our coffee so much better?  


Our process begins with finding the best beans on the planet. The beans selected had to perfectly pair with our roasting process to provide the ideal, aromatic flavors. We only use charred oak and hickory wood fire while roasting, which provides a truly natural process while roasting coffee. All of our coffees are roasted in small batches to provide a delightful coffee experience in each cup of coffee every time. The reason wood fire is better is due to the way wood burns versus gas. Wood fire provides a little moisture back to the bean while roasting opposed to the gas which belongs in an engine. The little bit of moisture keeps the bean from drying out too much and losing all of its unique flavor and caffeine.
